Man Proposes In Zero-G

A New York City groom-to-be popped the question to his future bride, and fellow space enthusiast, while onboard a specially-modified Boeing 727 recently, during a 90-minute zero-gravity flight organized by Space Adventures of VA.

Said 32-year old Alexander Loucopoulos, "I asked if she'd marry me, and then the ring just floated in front of her as we floated in zero gravity."

Graciela Asturias, 27, said yes, reports 590 KLBJ News Radio. "I was so surprised," she said. "I'm in total shock."

'Tis a good thing it worked out so well, as the tab for each (excluding ring) was $3,500. Space Adventures, you may recall, also arranged for Charles Simonyi's $25 million flight into space last month, as ANN reported.

"I would like our 10-year anniversary to be in orbit," Loucopoulos said.
