Air Taxi Company ImagineAir Announces Strong Growth in 2010

People Flying Even In Down Economy

Despite the economic downturn, the personal air taxi service ImagineAir says it has seen flight demand grow by 54 percent alongside a 49 percent jump in revenue, compared to the previous year. To match the increased demand in 2010, ImagineAir expanded its fleet with 3 additional aircraft and opened a new satellite base in Charleston, SC. With the recent addition of ImagineAir's 8th aircraft, they now claim to operate the largest air taxi Cirrus fleet in the Southeast.

The Atlanta-based air taxi operation employs a unique business model which allows people to fly direct to over 600 airports in the Southeast.  Most customers are small to mid-sized companies or busy people who use the service to replace a 3-8 hour drive.

"Since 2009 many companies downsized their corporate fleet, but for some, their business demand picked back up and so did their need for accessible aircraft," said Ben Hamilton, President & CEO of ImagineAir. "They started using ImagineAir as a supplementary option for their existing fleet and have continued to use our service. They have been telling us that ImagineAir is a more economical option for shorter hops, compared to taking their larger corporate aircraft."
