ParaZero Successfully Tests Advanced DefendAir Anti-Drone System

Field Trial Expands Defense Capabilities Vs Hostile Drones

ParaZero Technologies, developer of autonomous safety solutions for manned and unmanned aerial systems, announced the successful field trials for an upgraded variant of its DefendAir system that expands the company’s drone defense capabilities.

The trial was conducted in Israel and tested a stationary turret launcher for its anti-drone net system. The turret configuration provides 360-degree perimeter coverage against hostile drones. It is integrated with an advanced optical detection and tracking system that enables fully autonomous operation, from threat detection to tracking to successful interception. It represents a significant enhancement of the system’s overall autonomy and performance.

The enhanced net launcher provides for the deployment of a significantly larger net that covers a broader area and improves its effectiveness against faster and larger drone threats. The capability is intended for the security of high-value sites such as critical infrastructure, government buildings, and other important military and civil assets against drone attacks.

Ariel Alon, CEO of ParaZero said, “This successful trial demonstrates the agility of our engineering teams and our strategic commitment to building an integrated, layered defense ecosystem. As threats evolve, so must the tools designed to stop them—and this milestone represents a meaningful expansion of ParaZero’s ability to protect high-value assets against emerging aerial threats.”

The expansion of the DefendAir’s capabilities to include a turret-launched variant complements the DefendAir portable, hand-held net gun launcher that covers close-range threats. The anti-drone countermeasures offer a versatile and scalable range of solutions that can be deployed for mobile as well as stationary defensive positions across the defense of contested areas and homeland security applications.
