Aero-News: Quote of the Day (03.20.23)

Aero-News: Quote of the Day

ANN's Quote of the Day usually derives from current news, though we reserve the right to pick quotes out of history that have a bearing on the day's events and issues.

Sometimes, you'll find them timely and in keeping with the content of the day's news... and sometimes, they'll just be thought-provoking.

Reader suggestions and comments are welcome... and if particularly intriguing, timely, or poignant, may themselves become future Quotes of the Day.

Let us hear from you, folks!

Aero-News Quote of the Day

"I repeat, for those who have not gathered themselves to look at the situation objectively: Our fighters did not come into contact with the American UAV. Russia did everything possible to prevent this kind of incident—it informed the international community in good time about the boundaries of the temporary airspace regime established for the special military operation."

Source: The poorly conceived and pretty much unbeleiveable statement made by Russian ambassador to the US, Anatoly Antonov, trying to deflect criticism for the inexcusable and exceedingly poor airmanship exhibited by two SU-27 Flanker pilots that encountered a US MQ-9 and ultimately caused its destruction.
