Hawker Beechcraft Names New VPs Of Product Development

Tasked With Keeping Beech, Hawker Lines Competitive

Just barely three months old, the recently-christened Hawker Beechcraft Corporation continues to take steps to insure the continued development of its storied aircraft lines. The company announced Monday it has appointed Mike Hinderberger and Kerry Masher to the newly-created positions of vice-president of production development, for the Hawker and Beechcraft lines, respectively.

Hinderberger will be responsible for new product development, legacy research and development, change management and product sustainment of the Hawker line. He comes to the company from Gulfstream, where he served as chief engineer for Advanced Aircraft Programs.

Representatives with Hawker Beechcraft tell ANN during his nine-year tenure with Gulfstream, Hinderberger also held several other product development positions. Prior to that, Hinderberger was Global Express certification, powerplant, flight test team leader, and engine development manager for Rolls Royce Deutschland in Berlin, Germany.

Hinderberger has a master’s degree in technical management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

Over on the Beechcraft side, Kerry Masher will be responsible for keeping the Beech line competitive. He was previously director of New Product Development for Hawker Beechcraft where he has worked for most of the past 25 years in a variety of engineering roles.

Masher also spent two years with Lockheed Martin as a director of Special Mission Programs, Lear Fan Corporation as senior engineer, Loads and Dynamics, and Boeing Military Aircraft as engineer, loads and Dynamics. He has a bachelors degree in aeronautical engineering from Purdue University.
