Northrop Grumman Subsidiary To Supply ATC System For UK Airfield

Park Air Systems Radar Coming To Jersey Airport

Northrop Grumman Corporation announced last week its Europe-based air traffic management system subsidiary, Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems, has been awarded a contract by NATS Services Ltd. to supply, deliver and install its NOVA 9000 Radar Processing and Flight Planning System, with fully integrated electronic flight strips, to the new air traffic control tower at Jersey International Airport.

"Our integrated air traffic management system will help controllers meet the demands for increased airspace capacity at Jersey airport," said Eldar Hauge, managing director for Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems Norway. "We are proud of our strong partnership with NATS and delighted they have selected our product as part of the tower fit-out for Jersey Airport."

NATS is working closely with the Jersey Airport Air Traffic Engineering Department to fit-out the new control tower with the latest in avionics and air traffic control technology. NATS provides air traffic control services at 15 of the UK's largest airports and en-route air traffic services for aircraft flying through UK airspace.

Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems will supply a fully integrated electronic flight strip system. The system will be the primary operational ATC tool for approach and tower control at Jersey International Airport. Each ATC working position will be equipped with NOVA 9000 radar and electronic flight plan displays.

Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems, based in Peterborough, UK and in Oslo and Horten, Norway, supplies communication, navigation and surveillance systems for air-space operations worldwide.
