Avflight Partners With Allegiant At Traverse City

To Provide All Ground Handling For New Nonstop Allegiant Flights From Traverse City To Multiple Florida Destinations And Phoenix

Avflight Traverse City will provide ground handling for new Allegiant routes from Capital City Airport (KTVC) in northern Michigan to St. PeteClearwater /Tampa; Orlando-Sanford; and Punta Gorda / Fort Myers, Florida, with a Phoenix-Mesa, Arizona route commencing November 13, 2019.

This venture satisfies a long-standing demand for more direct and economical options to south Florida and Phoenix for vacationers and retirees. While Traverse City remains the largest city in northern Michigan and is increasingly referred to as “the new Naples, Florida” for millenials, northern Michigan at large has experienced rapid growth in popularity as a fourseason tourist destination.

“The Cherry Capital Airport (KTVC) is a vital transportation and economic asset to the region and Avflight is deeply committed to supporting its success. Passengers will enjoy new lower-cost flight options, shorter airport drive times, heightened and more expeditious service, streamlined check-in and boarding processes and less-crowded facilities,” said Joe Meszaroes, Avflight’s VP of Operations.

Avflight Traverse City currently serves as the sole FBO at KTVC providing passengers and flight operators with professional ground handling, fuel service, light aircraft maintenance, hangar space, anticipatory concierge support, transportation and more in well-appointed facilities. Avflight Traverse City will be providing all ground operations for Allegiance’s new routes. Avflight hired and comprehensively trained several new staff members to support the additional flight operations.

Allegiant’s new Florida routes are currently operational and serve the following specific airports: St.PeterClearwater International Airport (PIE), Orlando-Sanford International Airport (SFB), and Punta Gorda

Airport (KPGD). Service to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (KAZA) will commence November 13, 2019.
