Aero-TV: Expanding Their Reach – Trig Avionics At Oshkosh 2015

Small Is Good... And Trig Has Perfected The Art of Cramming A LOT Into Some Very Small Boxes

While at AirVenture 2015, ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, followed up on a news conference regarding Trig Avionics. In this video he has the chance to speak with Trig Avionics CEO, Andy Davis.

Davis explains the complexities of certifying equipment to meet ADS-B out requirements. He says that Trig Avionics has to work with numerous installation scenarios and that anytime time a Trig product links up with a piece of equipment it must be tested and certified for that particular equipment package. Davis says Trig is now approved for about 600 different types of airplanes.

Davis also talks about their new slimline stack-panel radios, and this video displays some of the features involved with these new radios. You’ll notice that the radios not only display the selected frequency, they also display who that frequency is connected to…that’s pretty cool! The new Trig audio panels come in two flavors to give aircraft owners the choice between a simple lower-cost panel and one that includes all the bells and whistles like Bluetooth and a USB port.

This video provides a great way to receive an introduction to Trig products and their capabilities.
