JetBlue Pilot Arrested In Drug Sting

One Of Six Investigated For Drug Dealing In The Boston Area

A pilot for JetBlue is one of six people who have been arrested in connection with a drug investigation in the Boston area.

The pilot is John Manwaring of Maitland, FL, according to a report from the Associated Press. Manwaring and a woman with him were charged with possession of heroin when they were arrested Sunday near the Boston Common public park. Two others were arrested for dealing in heroin

Manwaring has pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on his own recognizance. His next court appearance is set for August 13.

JetBlue said it has removed Manwaring from duty, and will cooperate fully with the authorities. The airline said in a statement that it has a "rigorous" drug testing program and a zero-tolerance policy.
