FAA Grants King Air Gross Weight Increase STC To CenTex Aerospace

Certificate Covers Supper King Air 200, B200 Models

Centex Aerospace of Waco, Texas is progressing steadily towards certification of the Halo 250 gross weight increase for the Beechcraft 200 and B200 series Super King Air.

B200 King Air

The Halo 250 STC conversion will increase the current MTOW of 12,500 pounds to a new MTOW of 13,420 pounds or 14,000 pounds, for aircraft equipped with high flotation landing gear. The FAA has agreed to certification in the Commuter category and this allows CenTex to proceed to the substantiation and inspection phase.

Completion of FAA certification is expected next year, with deliveries to begin soon thereafter. The conversion includes an engine fire extinguishing system, emergency lighting for the cabin, and a new Airplane Flight Manual. A pilot type rating will be required.
