AeroMech Issues STC For Starlink On Citation 560XL Series

Subsidiary AMI Aviation Will Perform Installations

AeroMech Inc. announced the issuance of a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the installation of Starlink high-speed internet connectivity on Cessna Citation 560XL series aircraft. The STC covers the Citation Excel, XLS, XLS+, and XLS Gen2 models.

AMI Aviation, AeroMech’s wholly owned subsidiary, will perform installations at its facilities at Orlando-Sanford (KSFB), and Nashville/Smyrna (KMQY) or via remote “go teams.” AeroMech/AMI will also provide the STC and PMA installation kits to any qualified Starlink installer/dealer.

AeroMech is accepting orders for the Citation 560XL Starlink STC Equipment Package and for scheduling appointments at AMI facilities for the installation. Scheduling can be done at the AeroMech booth #947 at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas or via the website.

AeroMech will demonstrate the Starlink system in-flight to select repair stations and media at NBAA-BACE on October 22 and 23.

The company expects to include the Citation Ascend in the STC as soon as possible. Meanwhile it has plans to STCs for Starlink in other Textron aircraft including the Citation Sovereign, Citation X, Citation Latitude, Citation Longitude, Cessna Caravan, Cessna SkyCourier, and Hawker 800/900 series aircraft.

Anthony Wiederkehr, AeroMech COO said, “We will work hard to complete these STCs and bring the best inflight connectivity available in aviation to all these airframes as soon as possible.”
