Signature's New FBO Opens Wednesday at O'Hare

$5.2 Million, to Make ORD Facility Special

Signature Flight Support will hold a grand-opening celebration at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD) flight support operation (FSO) tomorrow, Wednesday, June 11, 2003. The grand opening will feature an open house, scheduled from noon to 6 p.m., and will give customers a chance to tour the newly-built facility.

"The open house allows us to show our guests the beautiful new building and introduce ourselves," said Beth Haskins, president and CEO of Signature. "We’re excited about how this convenient, multifunctional building will serve our customers, and we look forward to our continued relationship with Chicago O’Hare."

Signature’s new $5.2 million facility consists of 15,000 square feet and includes a one-and-a-half-story-high lobby surrounded in glass. Security played a large part in the building’s design. The vestibule entrance houses a walk-through magnetometer and baggage X-ray machine. The metallic-silver facility offers a number of rooms for a variety of uses. There are three conference rooms, four quiet rooms in the crew lounge, a VIP lounge and a multifunctional VIP suite. This suite can be used for large charters or press conferences and can also be split into two smaller rooms for more space.
