Hardy Man's Bad Luck Closes Airport

Nose Gear Collapsed -- Kennedy Curse?

Aside from the shameless headlines this story allows, there is little remarkable about the incident. Reports say that, on landing, the Lancair 320's nose gear buckled. The pilot, identified in local reports as Robert Kennedy of Hardy (VA), wasn't hurt; but he's going to need some heavy-duty prop work soon. The Lycoming 320 may need some TLC, as well.

Five flights were either delayed or diverted.
