Allegedly Operated His Aircraft Over The Prime Minister's House

A Russian man has been arrested in Warsaw, Poland and accused of flying his drone of the home of Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo without permission.

Newsweek relays a report from Deutsche Welle that police noticed the aircraft flying in the vicinity of the residence, as well as the prime minister's office, the Ministry of Defense, and Belwederski Palace on Monday.

The operator was located on a nearby street in an Russian-licensed SUV with a Moscow license plate. His name has not been released by authorities.

Polish police spokesman Mariusz Mrozek said that the operator could face up to five years in prison for violating Polish aviation regulations, and other charges could be pending.

The Russian embassy in Poland acknowledged that they had been notified of the arrest, according to the Russian state news agency RIA Novosti.
