FMS Helicopter Contract With Qatar Goes To Boeing

Company Will Supply 24 Apache Helos Under Four-Year Agreement

The U.S. Army has selected Boeing for a potential four-year, $667.5 million contract to supply 24 Apache AH-64E helicopters and associated equipment to Qatar.

A notice posted on the U.S. DOD website Tuesday indicates that the undefinitized fixed-price-incentive, foreign military sales contract covers the 24 aircraft as well as one Longbow crew trainer, ground support equipment, and Thales radios.

One bid was solicited with one received.

Work will be performed in Mesa, Arizona, with an estimated completion date of May 31, 2020. Funds in the amount of $136,132,068 were obligated at the time of the award.

The Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.
