Two Fatally Injured In Senoia, GA Accident

Twin Tigers Pilot, 13-Year-Old Son Of His Partner Were Aboard The Mustang II

Mark Nowosielski, who along with Mark Sorenson made up the Twin Tigers aerobatic team, was fatally injured Saturday along with Sorenson's son Nathan in an accident in Coweta County, GA.

Nathan Sorenson was 13 years old.

According to Air Show Stuff, Nowosielski had just purchased the Mustang II from an individual in Florida. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Coweta County Sheriff Lenn Wood said that Nowosielski had just landed at Big T's airport, a private grass strip about a quarter mile from the accident scene. He picked up Nathan at the airport.

Television station WSB reports that, according to witnesses, the airplane was flying very low and the engine was "cutting out or he was out of gas." That witness, Laquita Connell, said it looked like the plane was about to impact a building before he pulled up and went down in a field.

Mark Nowosielski was a graduate of Embry Riddle University. A pilot for Southwest airlines, he began flying aerobatics in 2006, according to Air Show Stuff. In 2019, the Twin Tigers team won the Bill Barber Award  for showmanship.
