Classic Aero-TV: Exploration of Flight - Wings Over The Rockies’ New Venture

From 2016 (YouTube Version): Building On Past Success And Focusing On The Future…

The Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum is expanding, and in this video you’ll meet Greg Anderson who is the President and CEO of this Museum. Anderson’s background includes a long career with the EAA where he was the visionary behind the successful Young Eagles program.

The video takes place at Centennial Airport, which is located south of Denver, CO. This is the site chosen to be the location of the new Exploration of Flight Education and Technology Center which will be the second Wings Over the Rockies location. Anderson explains that this location will foster education in the various disciplines of aviation.

Anderson says their organization believes that aviation offers the greatest learning content known to man, and that it can lead to other areas of STEM related endeavors. He says that aviation is a way to interest young people by showing them that they can be more than what they are today.

The event taking place in this video was staged to inform the public of what aviation can provide in the field of education that reaches beyond aviation subjects. It looks like a great gathering of airplanes combined with dedicated people who are looking for a way to instill excitement about education in the sciences.
