Elite Delivers New Advanced ATD To Daniel Webster College

"Major Milestone" For Webster

ELITE Simulation Solutions recently completed installation of a new iGATE Model G500 series Advanced ATD at Daniel Webster College's Nicholas N. Tamposi Aviation Center. This latest addition is the school's third ELITE Advanced ATD to join its simulation fleet.

Webster became one of the first in the country to receive the new devices when it acquired its first two ELITE A-ATDs in early 2004.

"This upgrade represents a major milestone for aviation education at Daniel Webster College," said Steve K. Brown, director of aviation education in a previous press release. "This new technology provides improved visuals, a nationwide database, dual pilot stations for crew training, and a more comprehensive interchangeability between aircraft types. We feel that this technology will provide an equivalent, if not better, level of training for our flight students."  
 
"I'm excited to have the new iGATE advanced ATDs here at DWC. With them we'll be able to train a much wider variety of approach and enroute procedures than was possible with the previous equipment," said DWC Aviation Chair Dr. Philip Poynor. "Also, since this equipment is the leading edge of a whole new category of training devices, I am optimistic that our faculty will be at the forefront of assisting industry to develop the training methods and procedures for the coming wave of Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAAs)."
