Airbus Americas CEO To Address Wichita Aero Club

Barry Eccleston To Keynote October Luncheon

The Wichita Aero Club October Business Luncheon will feature Barry Eccleston, President and CEO of Airbus Americas.

In his position, Eccleston oversees all efforts of Airbus in North and South America and the Caribbean, including sales and marketing, engineering, service and training. Barry is a veteran of the aviation industry, having worked in many of the industry’s most well-known companies, including Honeywell, Fairchild Dornier Corporation, Rolls- Royce Engines, and International Aero Engines. Through his career, he has worked in six different countries, and though born in the U.K., he is now an American citizen. He is a private pilot and an executive committee member of the Flight Safety Foundation Board of Governors.

Barry will talk about Airbus’ operations in the U.S. and Wichita, the importance of U.S. aerospace companies competing for their place in the global marketplace, and what all of this means for Wichita and Kansas.

The luncheon will be held on Tuesday, October 18th at the Wichita Airport Hilton. The Wichita Aero Club was established in October 2008 to foster and promote interest in aviation, to provide a forum that focuses on the industry's issues and achievements, and to bring together those with a passion for flight in an environment that expands and enhances professional relationships and furthers cooperation and understanding.
