Pratt & Whitney Canada Lethbridge, Alberta Facility Delivers Milestone Engine

10,000th Delivered Powerplant Is A PT6A

Pratt & Whitney Canada's (P&WC) Lethbridge, Alberta assembly plant celebrated the delivery of its 10,000th engine, a PT6A engine to Air Tractor, Inc. The landmark engine, a PT6A-60AG produced for Air Tractor's AT-602 aircraft, is a member of the PT6A series of engines.

"This is a great milestone for our Lethbridge facility, which has been assembling high-quality PT6 engines for our customers for more than 15 years," said Benoit Beaudoin, Vice President, Operations, P&WC. "The 10,000th engine delivery is a testament to the plant's excellent capabilities and the result of great teamwork."

For more than 30 years, Air Tractor has been a leading agricultural plane manufacturer worldwide.

The Lethbridge facility officially opened its doors in May 1993. Today, it is P&WC's Center of Excellence for low and high power PT6 engines, the most dependable and popular engine in its class. The PT6 has captured more than 100 applications for business, commuter, utility and trainer aircraft with major manufacturers.

The center performs light and heavy maintenance on PT6, JT15D, PW100 and PW500 engine series, as well as light maintenance for the PW600 engine series.

P&WC now counts over 10,000 operators all around the world - demonstrating that the company has a winning strategy in place with new-generation green engines and support. Over 30 company-owned and designated service facilities, a 24/7 Customer First Center , and an extensive parts distribution network deliver frontline service.
