RDD Reduces Price of Therm-X De-Icing Systems For Experimental Planes

Limited Time Offer Launches Prior to AOPA Expo

Just in time for AOPA Expo, RDD Enterprises, LLC tells ANN of a permanent price reduction -- as well as a pre-Expo special offer -- on its Therm-X electro-thermal airframe and propeller de-icing systems.

The permanent reduction effectively lowers the price of the complete Therm-X System (prop and airframe) to $18,995 for the Lancair IV series aircraft and $17,995 for the Lancair ES series aircraft.

However for a limited time, the next 17 Lancair ES and IV aircraft owners and builders who purchase the innovative thermo-electric ice protection system can take advantage of a special AOPA Expo offer of only $17,000 for a complete system.

RDD says it was able to reduce prices due to its close working relationship with Kelly Aerospace Thermal Systems, which enables them to continually enhance the design and reduce cost. RDD is the exclusive distributor of Therm-X.

"The level of expertise that RDD brings to the joint Therm-X project enhances our ability to further refine our thermal de-icing platforms," said Kelly Aerospace Thermal Systems Vice President and General Manager, Erik Pederson. "With RDDs research and development component and their responsiveness to flight testing demands, Kelly Aerospace is able to expedite the development of the technology."

"The nature of our business is Research, Design and Development," adds RDDs Justin Reimer. "No matter how good any product is, there is always a next level of development. RDD leverages our technical expertise and close working relationship with Kelly to maximize integration of Therm-X. Everybody wins."

RDD is offering the special price on the next 17 kits to be purchased, or until November 1, 2007 -- whichever occurs first. Installations will be completed by RDD in the west or by Goodrich Aviation Services in the east.

RDD also has Therm-X systems in the works for other experimental aircraft... including such popular models as the Velocity, the Lancair Legacy and Vans RV-10.
