Airborne-Flight Training 09.06.23: Tradewind-Aviate, Ala$ka Pilots, Thrust Inst.

Also: Bob Hoover Legacy Foundation, Mechanic Test Guides, Ignite Flight Academy, E-Jet E2 Training Network

Tradewind Aviation has partnered with United Airlines’s Goodyear, Arizona-based Aviate Academy.

As an Aviate-participating Part 135 operator, Tradewind will provide a pathway by which qualified candidates either already employed by or having accepted offers from Tradewind may apply to Aviate and, upon acceptance, receive conditional job offers as United Airlines First Officers. Unions capitalizing upon a global shortage of qualified pilots amidst a prevailing and unprecedented spike in demand for air-travel have secured contracts entailing dramatic increases in pilot pay and improvements in air-crew quality-of-life at many world airlines. Alaska Airlines pilots—by dint of a no-one-left-behind clause added in autumn 2022 to their contract with the Seattle-based air-carrier—will receive an 11.2-percent pay bump by which their wages will remain commensurate with those of pilots in the employs of competing airlines. Aviation Maintenance Technician (A&P) courses will commence on 06 November 2023 at Addison, Texas’s Thrust Institute of Maintenance—sister school of the renowned Thrust Flight pilot academy. The convening of Autumn classes occasions the fulfillment of Thrust Institute of Maintenance’s 21 June 2023 commitment to offer an Airframe & Powerplant technician curriculum at its facility on Texas’s Addison Airport (ADS).
