Daher Enters Top 50 Global Aerospace Companies

Manufacturer Brings in Nearly $1.9 Bil, Delivers 82 Aircraft in 2024

Daher, a French aircraft manufacturer, recently released its 2024 annual results and an outlook for coming years. It earned nearly $1.9 billion in revenue, ranking it in the top 50 global aerospace companies.

The planemaker is known for its single-engine, turboprop TMB and multi-role Kodiak aircraft. It has been in business since 1911, back when it was run under the Morane-Saulnier name. Today, Daher runs off upwards of 14,000 employees across 15 countries with the proud three-time title of “Top Employer France”.

Unlike many other major aerospace manufacturers, 2024 was a bright year for Daher. It hired 2,500 new employees and delivered 82 aircraft: 56 TBMs, 15 Kodiak 100s, and 11 Kodiak 900s. The company raked in more than $1.8 billion in revenue throughout the year, marking a 9 percent hike from the previous year.

These successes made a significant step forward in reaching Daher’s “Take Off 2027” plan. The initiative was announced two years ago to improve operational performance, reinforce skills, cut costs, and bolster the supply chain in 2024. The steps revolve around three priorities: advancing management strategies, advocating for sustainability and innovation, and consolidating acquisitions.

“The [Take Off 2027] project is progressing as planned, with technical finalization expected by the end of 2025,” Daher announced.

Daher plans to address several hurdles in 2025, specifically regarding safety and decarbonization. It will be introducing a much-needed Safety Management System (SMS) as well as a safety reporting tool, ensuring that the 2,500 new hires are properly acclimated to the Daher culture. The manufacturer aims to reduce its carbon emissions by 5% annually beginning in 2025 through more sustainable production practices, alternative fuels, and potentially rolling out a decarbonized aircraft.

“In a demanding economic and industrial environment, we are demonstrating our ability to adapt and strengthen ourselves,” stated Daher Chairman and CEO Didier Kayat. “...Our investments in innovation, training, and industrial transformation are bearing fruit. We are fully committed to the decarbonization of aviation and the success of our transformation. We are consolidating our advancements to shape the future of Daher and sustainable aviation.”
