Mid-Continent Instruments - West Improves Global Business

Can Now Reach International Customers More Quickly With On-Site Airworthiness Approvals

Mid-Continent Instruments - West's Chief Inspector Bryan Miner has been named the latest member of the company's Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA).  The move gives the company the capability to reach international customers on a shorter turnaround.

Miner is authorized to issue export airworthiness approvals for Class II products shipped overseas on behalf of the FAA, allowing same-day shipping.

"ODA was essential for our location," said Miner. "We now have the immediate ability to gain export approval on site and ship overseas, avoiding delays to our international customers."

In order to receive ODA, companies must have extensive experience working with the FAA and demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of their regulations, policies and procedures. Mid-Continent Instruments in Wichita, KS, was the central region's first repair facility to achieve this approval.
