DCA/CESS208/9 — Emergency Airworthiness Directive

Cessna 208 Series
This AD is prompted by reports of cracks and missing/incomplete welds in the right inboard
forward flap bell crank. Failure of the right inboard forward flap bell crank could lead to
damage to the flap system and surrounding structure and result in loss of control of the
aircraft.


Requirement: To prevent failure of the right inboard forward flap bell crank due to cracks,
deformation, or missing/incomplete welds in the right inboard forward flap bell
crank...

Note: This AD allows for deviation from the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) until the flap bell crank is replaced. The applicable MEL requirements go back into effect at the time of flap bell crank replacement.
Compliance: Within the next 25 landings.
Effective Date: 23 October 2003
