One of the new entries in the consumer drone segment is Autel’s XStar, which utilizes modular components to differentiate it from others in the sector.
Speaking to ANN CEO and Editor in Chief Jim Campbell at CES in Las Vegas, Natalie Cheng, Director of Marketing for Autel Robotics, said that the company has gotten great feedback from its customer base, and at the show, introduced two new camera modules “because we are very committed to providing customer value.”
The two new camera modules are designed for the XStar and XStar Premium drones. The drones are designed so that the cameras and gimbals can be easily swapped out, and the new modules include a FLIR Duo module which will provide thermal and visual imaging, and and updated camera module that will give the user better low-light images and more cinematic images, as well as 20 megapixel stills and record 4K video at 60 frames per second.
Both drones are on the market now.
