Mesa Makes Moves on Board

Mesa Air Group, Inc. just announced the appointment of Robert Beleson to its Board of Directors. Drawing upon his thirty plus years of experience in marketing and strategic planning, Mr. Beleson has most recently been providing consulting services for a variety of high profile clients in the aviation as well as other select industries. Mr. Beleson's previous employment includes: Chief Marketing Officer for Avolar, a former division of United Airlines; President of M. Shanken Communications, a publisher of upscale consumer publications; Chief Marketing Officer for Playboy Enterprises; and President and Chief Executive Officer of Remy Martin Amerique, a diversified wine and spirit importing company. Mr. Beleson earned a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

"Given the opportunities that currently exist for our Company as well the significant role of our Board of Directors, we believe it is important that Mesa has effective and independent directors like Bob. His expertise combined with the leadership possessed by our other Board members will be invaluable in helping Mesa move forward successfully," said Jonathan Ornstein, Mesa Chairman and CEO.

Voluntarily stepping down from the Board is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer George Murnane III. Mr. Murnane has been a valuable member of the Board since 1999 and has been serving as Executive Vice President since January 2002 and Chief Financial Officer since February 2003. "Although Peter's presence on the Board will be missed, his valuable services will continue to benefit the Company in his positions as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer," said Jonathan Ornstein.
