Helicopter Institute Adds Frasca HTD

Bell 407 Sim Is An FAA Qualified AATD

The Helicopter Institute, Fort Worth, TX has placed an order for a Frasca Bell 407 Helicopter Training Device (HTD). The HTD is an FAA qualified AATD and features Garmin G500H display, Simulated HeliSAS, Garmin GTN650 GPS, Frasca’s TruVision visual system with three channel HDTV visual display system and a Newport, OR Helicopter mission training visual database.

The institute offers part 135 training and checking.

“Frasca sets the standard in helicopter flight simulation products,” stated Randy Rowles, president of Helicopter Institute. “The craftsmanship, accuracy, and cost-benefit of the Frasca Helicopter Training Device (HTD) when weighed against other AATD’s is unmatched. The addition of the Bell 407 HTD AATD along with our four (4) existing flight training devices (FTD) provides a flight simulation solution for our entire helicopter fleet and enhances our training product.”

The Helicopter Institute training fleet includes the Bell 407, Bell 206B, and Airbus AS350B2. Currently operated flight simulation solutions include the Bell 427, Bell 407, Bell 206L3, and Robinson R44. Additionally, Helicopter Institute offers ab-initio pilot training for the FAA Private Pilot to ATP and Flight Instructor certificates and ratings.
