Marenco Swisshelicopter Adds 13 Orders At Heli-Expo

Brings The SKYe SH09 Order Book To 72 Aircraft

Marenco Swisshelicopter signed 13 letters of intent for the SKYe SH09 helicopter at Heli-Expo in Orlando earlier this month, bringing total orders for the aircraft to 72 units. Deliveries will begin in 2016.

Part of these orders are destined to commercial operators on the American markets for operations ranging from Heli-Taxi in South America to charter and sightseeing in the USA. The remaining orders are spread throughout the world and include the announced first sale to a professional charter and training operator in South Africa.

During the Heli-Expo in Orlando, the team of Marenco Swisshelicopter reported the result of the teamwork and accomplishments that were performed in 2014 and which lead to the achievement of the first flight as well as the start of the intensive flight test campaign that is now underway.

Marenco Swisshelicopter displayed a modified full carbon 1:1 mock-up of the SKYe SH09, the  booth was a point of attraction on the show. The aircraft showed the latest modifications, such as the high-visibility cockpit and new floor windows as well as the instrument panel that was developed and installed on the flying prototype.

Bruno Gubser, Marenco Swisshelicopter Chief Operating Officer also reports having reached agreements with the advance selection of Honeywell and Sagem key suppliers. The production aircraft will be powered by Honeywell's HTS 900-2 turbine engine and will feature Sagem's ICDS-8A glass cockpit suite.
