'Tourist' Spooks Miami

Gonna Have a Bar-B-Que, Right There in the Airport

It seems there's someone in America who thinks that airport security is really, really dumb. Before you all raise your hands, we'll explain:

On Valentine's Day (Friday), Atsushi Ishiguro, 45, identified as a Japanese tourist, was arrested, then released on $1000 bail, for breaking the security rules at the Florida airport.

An American Eagle customer, Ishiguro was traveling from Jamaica to the Bahamas, with his little bar-b-que rig, including the grill, two boxes of matches, and an 11-ounce can of what he said was gasoline.

When asked, we're told he wouldn't give up the gas. Later, during questioning, some of the security folks got genuinely concerned when they noticed stamps on his passport which included, among others, Saudi Arabia, Somalia,Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Yemen, and Pakistan.

More details may surface; the INS and FBI are having a look at this one...
