Televangelist Asks Followers To Buy Him A $54 Million Bizjet

Seeking Funding For The Purchase Of A Dassault Falcon 7X

Televangelist Jesse Duplantis of Destrehan, LA is asking his followers to buy a $54 million Dassault Falcon 7X jet for him to use in his ministry.

The 68-year-old TV preacher has paid cash for three previous jets, and he has been "burning them up for the Lord" in a video posted on his ministry website.

But the Falcon would allow him to reach anywhere in the world without refueling, he said. The airplane would make it possible for him to avoid "those exorbitant prices with jet fuel all over the world."

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Duplantis says that he believes is Jesus was on Earth today, he would be using a jet to spread his message worldwide. He said commercial airliners are full of "a bunch of demons" that conflict with his his busy schedule.

Duplantis' solicitation comes just months after Newark, TX-based Kenneth Copeland purchased a Gulfstream G-V jet for $36 million.
