Blue Origin has concluded the online auction for the very first seat on New Shepard with a winning bid of $28 million. Nearly 7,600 people registered to bid from 159 countries. The winning bidder will fly to space on New Shepard’s first human flight on July 20, and will join Blue Origin founder, Jeff Bezos, and his brother, Mark. The winning bid amount will be donated to Blue Origin’s foundation, Club for the Future. Peyton Manning is hoping more aircraft owners take part in transporting athletes and coaches to the 2022 Special Olympics... Peyton Manning is joining Textron Aviation to promote the 2022 Special Olympics Airlift. The legendary quarterback has signed on as honorary chair of the event, encouraging aircraft owners to participate in the massive Airlift scheduled to transport thousands of athletes and coaches to the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games next year in Orlando, Fla. For the 13th year, women of all ages will have the opportunity to share their passion for aviation on Wednesday, July 28, during EAA WomenVenture 2021, part of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh from July 26 to August 1. EAA WomenVenture is designed to inspire women to build camaraderie, celebrate the joy of aviation, and open doors to mentorship moments that encourage women to pursue their dreams in aviation.
