Duncan Aviation, 328 Support Services Partner On Cabin Completion Certification

Work Completed On Bombardier Challenger 604 Of Finnish Registration

328 Support Services GmbH (328), has recently partnered with U.S.-based Duncan Aviation to deliver and certify a full cabin completion on a Finnish registered, Bombardier Challenger 604 aircraft. Following 328’s work on the EASA certification, the aircraft was delivered to the customer on time last month. 328 Support Services was responsible for verifying all the engineering data involved in the project as well as certifying the modification with a new EASA Part 21 Minor Change Approval. On the other hand, Duncan Aviation undertook all the production, installation and testing activity at Duncan’s full service facility in Battle Creek, Michigan.

The project features a stylish new interior design for the 604’s cabin, including new grey carpet throughout the flight deck, galley, cabin and entrance hallway; flight deck crew seats and an entry jump seat; newly upholstered cabin and conference seating in pale cream leather throughout; co-ordinating upper sidewall/window panels in pale cream; flight deck lower sidewalls and a right hand Corian countertop in grey and white.

Jörg Gorkenant, Chief Operating Officer and Head of 328 Design, said: “We are very pleased to continue our collaboration with Duncan Aviation and deliver another successful project for a European customer. We look forward to starting work on some other projects together in 2017.”

Trevor Smith, Certification Coordinator at Duncan Aviation added: “Duncan Aviation is proud of its partnership with 328 and enjoys working with their dedicated and talented team members. It is truly a blessing to work with an awesome team such as 328!"

328 has been working in partnership with Duncan Aviation since 2014.  This Challenger 604 project is 328’s 31st collaboration with them over the past three years. In addition to the Bombardier Challenger Series, 328 Design has collaborated with Duncan Aviation on EASA STC and Part 21 Minor Change Approvals for a wide variety of aircraft models including the Global Express, Dassault Falcon 900EX and 2000 as well as 7X and one Citation 560XL.
