NAS Pensacola Hosts Blue Angels

November Airshow Features Free Admission, Kids Activities

Airshows have thrived during the recession because they provide terrific bang for the buck. The upcoming Homecoming Air Show at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida is an especially good deal - there is no admission charge for the show, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, November 11 - 12, and the US Navy Blue Angels are headliners.

Over 100,000 people are expected to view the performances daily. The show includes static displays of aircraft of all types, food, beverage and vendor booths, virtual reality experiences and other attractions. There will be a Kids' Zone, virtual games and bungee jump to entertain the children. There is also a Friday night air show which is open to the public, and which features reserved seats which can be purchased.

Other scheduled performers include the F-18 Super Hornet Demo Team, civilian aerobatic performers, the Shockwave Jet Truck and more. You're invited to bring your own chair, and to dress for November temperatures which typically run in the 60s and 70s.
