Textron Aviation Delivers 100th King Air 360

It’s Good to be King …

Textron Aviation has delivered the one-hundredth Beechcraft King Air 360 twin-turboprop to longtime Textron Aviation customer Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center (CBCC). The delivery evinces the hegemony with which the King Air name has been synonymous since the 1960s.

Textron Aviation senior vice-president of Global Sales and Flight Operations Lannie O’Bannion stated: “We take pride in providing aircraft solutions for our customers with the latest in aviation technology. The King Air 360’s updated airframe, avionics and interior provide our passengers with a comfortable and reliable flight experience. The King Air family of aircraft is renowned for its versatility and reliability, and this one-hundredth delivery of the 360 is an exciting milestone in the continued success of a legendary product.”

A pioneer in global cancer treatment, CBCC, in longtime partnership with the UCLA TRIO Network, affords patients access to clinical trials—many of which have changed the means by which cancer therapy is delivered.

CBCC medical director Dr. Ravi Patel set forth: “The addition of this aircraft will be a game changer for us in terms of productivity. We are excited about the increased capability the King Air 360 will give us to globally expand our cancer care delivery and research.”

Over the 59-years since the King Air family’s 1964 introduction, nearly 7,800 specimens of the twin-turboprop—over iterations ranging from the eminently-practical and easy-to-fly C90, to the ubiquitous BE200, to the stately and powerful BE300, 350, and today’s 360—have been delivered to a diversified global customer base.

Worldwide, the King Air fleet has surpassed 62-million flight hours—the equivalent of 7,077 years, 228 days, and eight-hours. King Air operators include myriad national, state, provincial, and local governments; law-enforcement agencies; militaries; innumerable charter, air-ambulance, aerial fire-fighting, and search-and-rescue concerns; research organizations; and legions of private owners.
