Chuck Glass Joins The Company After A Stint In Beijing
Piper Aircraft has selected aviation veteran and former U.S.
Army officer Chuck W. Glass to be the company's new Director of
International Flight Training and Fleet Programs.
Glass, a former U.S. Army senior officer and aviator, retired
from his final Pentagon posting as Director of Military
Attaché Operations for South Asia to pursue a career in
General Aviation Flight Training.. He comes to Piper from
Diamond Aircraft, where he served in Beijing as Diamond's chief
representative for China.
Piper Executive Vice President Randy Groom made the announcement
during a news conference held in Lakeland, FL Tuesday morning.
"Chuck's qualifications in General Aviation are just what we
need as we expand fleet sales to match our growth strategy," Groom
said. "In addition, his extensive experience in the Asian
aviation market is a key asset that he brings to us as we address
overseas markets."
Glass also has extensive experience in flight training. Before
joining Diamond, he was President and CEO for the Beijing Pan Am
International Aviation Academy in Beijing and Senior Vice
President, Career Pilot Division, for Pan Am International Flight
Academy. Other positions Glass has held include National Director
of Education for the Westwood School of Technology and the Dean of
Aviation Studies at Miami-Dade Community College in Miami, FL.
