NBAA Requests Industry Participation In CNS/ATM Survey

NBAA has invited corporate flight departments to participate in a Communication, Navigation and Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) Joint Committee Survey, conducted by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA).

IBAC and GAMA recently formed a joint committee on CNS/ATM to explore and help shape the integration of today's corporate flight operations into tomorrow's regulated and technical airspace requirements. It is made up of representatives from IBAC, GAMA, NBAA and other industry groups, as well as avionics manufacturers, airframe manufacturers, service providers and research groups. The task for this committee is to recommend feasible solutions to the demanding requirements of airspace and traffic management in the global arena.

The CNS/ATM survey will help the committee understand how corporate flight departments view some of the issues involved with equipping for new technical requirements. Business aircraft operators are encouraged to assist the committee by participating in the survey by January 11, 2005.

FMI: The survey contains 15 questions and is located online at www.gama.aero/surveys/IBAC-GAMA/2004/start.php
