ExpressJet Airlines Names John Greenlee Chief Financial Officer

Will Also Serve As Senior Vice President Of Planning And Operations Control

ExpressJet Airlines, a United Express carrier, has named John Greenlee Chief Financial Officer and Senior vice president of Planning and Operations Control. In this new role, he will lead ExpressJet in delivering top-tier operational reliability and efficiency.

Greenlee (pictured) joins ExpressJet with more than 20 years of finance, fleet planning and regional airline experience at United Airlines and Continental Airlines. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of United Express Business Strategy, where he was responsible for commercially managing the portfolio of regional flying partnerships that supports the airline's global network.

"John is an incisive and strategic leader," said ExpressJet Chairman and CEO Subodh Karnik. "His deep understanding of airline finance and planning will serve ExpressJet well as we expand our fleet with 25 new Embraer E175 aircraft and hire more than 600 pilots in 2019."  

Greenlee's previous roles at United and Continental include Managing Director of Airport Operations, Cargo and Real Estate Finance, Tech Ops Finance and Fleet Planning. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and economics from Stanford University and an MBA from Indiana University. He is also a licensed pilot.
