COGNITUUM AGI Recognized By The Company

COGNITUUM AGI has been named the winner of the eighth Sikorsky Entrepreneurial Challenge, which is organized by Sikorsky Innovations and designed to accelerate innovators and disruptive technology concepts with applications for the aerospace market. Sikorsky will launch the ninth Entrepreneurial Challenge in the spring.

Sikorsky Innovations, which focuses on emerging technology, presented an Entrepreneurial Challenge honorable mention to United Aircraft Technologies, Inc.

“The Entrepreneurial Challenge showcases Sikorsky’s ongoing commitment to working with technology leaders across a wide range of markets,” said Chris Van Buiten, vice president of Sikorsky Innovations, “We look forward to working with COGNITUUM AGI and United Aircraft Technologies, Inc., as the newest additions to the diverse, cutting edge technology companies in our competition portfolio.”

COGNITUUM AGI, based in New York City, specializes in the development of an Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) framework with the goal of solving data-centric problems in any environment. The company was recognized by Sikorsky due to its unique approach to the AGI framework that combines aspects from both quantum information science and neuroscience. COGNITUUM AGI was recognized with a $25,000 cash prize along with an opportunity to explore the potential application of their technology on the Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin product family.

United Aircraft Technologies, Inc based in Dover, Delaware, is developing a Smart Inter-Connecting Clamp (ICC) for the aviation electronics industry. The company was awarded an honorable mention for its work in the retrofit of existing standard clamps used to secure the electrical wiring harnesses to other bundles and frames in aircraft. With this recognition, Sikorsky will continue to explore potential alignments with existing technology needs.

Sikorsky will launch the ninth Entrepreneurial Challenge in the spring of 2018 and will be searching for innovations that match up with newly identified focus areas. The Sikorsky Innovations team encourages leaders across all industries to contribute ideas for the opportunity to win a cash prize and work with Sikorsky on emerging technologies.
