Silver Airways Appoints Pedro Motta Senior VP Commercial

To Lead Airline’s Continued Growth And Expansion Throughout Florida, Bahamas, Caribbean And Beyond

Silver Airways has appointed Pedro Motta as Senior vice president of Commercial to lead the airline’s continued growth and expansion throughout Florida, the Bahamas, Caribbean and beyond.

As Senior vice president of Commercial, Motta is responsible for leading all aspects of pricing and yield management; flight scheduling and network development; marketing, sales and advertising; and other areas for both Silver Airways and Seaborne Airlines, including recently added product lines such as cargo and charter operations.

“I expect amazing things from Pedro and our commercial team and am extremely excited to welcome him to our airlines as he joins us at a transformational time for Silver and Seaborne,” said Silver Airways and Seaborne Airlines CEO Steve Rossum. “In addition to his keen understanding of the airline industry as an executive and a commercial airline pilot, Pedro has also served in numerous executive leadership roles in commercial, finance, and information technology in other sophisticated industries in the U.S. and South America. Pedro is an exceptional leader and delightful individual with a gregarious nature and a tremendous sense of humor.”

Motta has held key leadership positions in aviation and transportation, including serving as vice president, Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Webjet Linhas Aéreas S.A. Brazilian Airline; Chief Financial Officer at Port Newark Container Terminal; and vice president Finance and Accounting for ASTAR Air Cargo, among others. In addition, Motta flew turboprop aircraft as a commercial pilot in Brazil for a number of years for Rio Sul Serviços Aéreos Regionais.

Motta earned a Bachelor in Science in Aeronautical Science from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul and an MBA in Finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is also a doctoral candidate in business at Jacksonville University.

A Brazilian native, Motta is fluent in English and Portuguese.
