The Russian government has confirmed what everyone else either
suspected or knew: terrorists were responsible for the near
simultaneous crashes of two Russian airliners on Friday.
Mod Works, Inc., suffered severe damage when Hurricane Charley
blasted its 175+ mph winds and rain into central Florida on Friday,
August 13. In an effort to help, Mooney Airplane Company has
offered Mod Works' employees jobs and homes away from home.
Qantas Chairman Margaret Jackson has said she believes
the international airline industry is overdue for an overhaul, and
that many of the existing airlines should not be in operation.
The National Business Travel Association says that it views
the TSA's Secure Flight air passenger prescreening program as
a positive step toward meeting the privacy and operational concerns
with passenger prescreening raised by NBTA and other business,
travel and privacy groups.
Integic Corporation, a software applications firm out of
Chantilly (VA) has been awarded a $12 million, 3-year contract by
the FAA to upgrade and enhance software and systems it has
developed.
With their plane running low on fuel and darkness approaching,
the crew of the Coast Guard C-130 got word from headquarters to
call off its search and rescue mission.
