2021 Hillsboro Air Show Postpones For A Year

Was To Feature The USAF Thunderbirds And The F-22 Raptor

Oregon International Air Show announced today that the 2021 air show scheduled for the Hillsboro Airport has been postponed due to concerns related to COVID-19 and will be rescheduled to May of 2022 (dates to be finalized shortly).

The show was originally scheduled for May 21-23, 2021.

The Oregon International Air Show scheduled for July 30-Aug. 1, 2021 at McMinnville Airport featuring the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor remains on as scheduled.

“While we believe the environment for a live outdoor event will be improving by this May, we want to exercise an abundance of caution to provide the safest environment possible for our guests, performers, volunteers and everyone in the community so we believe the best decision at this time is to postpone this year’s Hillsboro show,” said Bill Braack, president of the Oregon International Air Show.

The air show made efforts to move the show to later dates in 2021 but were unsuccessful in finding dates that worked.

As announced earlier this year, the 2021 show in Hillsboro was set to feature one of the world's first-ever all-female air shows where all the performers, announcers, and even the air boss would be female. The intent of the show organizers is to continue with this theme in 2022.

Tickets already purchased for the 2021 Hillsboro show will be transferred automatically to the show’s new dates and customers do not need to do anything for that to happen. If they prefer, customers may request to transfer their tickets to the 2021 McMinnville show or be issued a refund.
