Three-Blade Carbon Fiber Prop And Spinner FAA-Approved

Hartzell Propeller collaborated with well-known aerobatic pilot Sean D. Tucker to secure an FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval for the cutting-edge three-blade Talon carbon fiber composite propeller and spinner for the entire GameBird GB1 fleet.

The propeller is available through Hartzell’s Top Prop program, and the 77.5 inch diameter Talon prop delivers several enhancements including:

• 5-8% increase in enroute climb performance at 120 KIAS
• 5% increase in maximum climb at 90 KIAS
• Greater than 20% reduction in takeoff ground roll

The Talon also provides improved handling, exceptional response, and aerodynamic braking for formation flight and aerobatics. The unlimited lifetime blades and 1,000-hour / six-year TBO is backed by the warranty through the first overhaul.

Tucker, who has flown the propeller extensively on his GB1 GameBird with impressive gains in performance.
