The Markings Of Van's Air Force

See Them On The RV Flight Line Between The Forums Pavilions And The Warbirds

By Chris Batcheller

Outside the Van's Aircraft tent is a blue and white RV with the words "VAN'S AIR FORCE". Taking that call to duty seriously, several of the RV's on the flight line are proudly decorated with noseart.

Strolling down the flight line you will run into an RV called Twitterpated! Adorned with a mean looking bunny, this is one RV that I'm sure is thumping.

Then you may run into Miss Izzy. We're not sure what the kids building blocks mean, but we're willing to learn.

Have no fear, Mighty Mouse is here. The blue RV brining this brave mouse into action will have nothing to fear.

Some airplanes are just top notch. It's worth the stroll to the RV flight line to admire Glynnis.  Complete with leading edge louvers and wing mounted machine guns all airbrushed in fine detail.

Just a few of the hundreds of examples of Vans RV's at Oshkosh this year. Of course, the owners are always pleased to talk about their airplanes.
