NTSB Chair Deborah A.P. Hersman has released preliminary findings from the NTSB’s ongoing investigation into the Jan. 7, 2013, Boeing 787 battery fire in Boston.

Recent problems with Boeing’s Dreamliner have led to questions about the certification process for another composite-construction airplane … the Airbus A-350-X-W-B. But an official for the planemaker’s parent company says there is no connection between the two.
