DroneResponders To Debut Emergency Management And Disaster Forum

Will Be Unveiled At The Energy Drone & Robotics Summit

he use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) – commonly known as “drones” – and other robotics are continuing to redefine the way public safety agencies and energy companies work together to recover from disaster and build community resilience. To strengthen these relationships, the Energy Drone & Robotics Coalition (EDRC) today announced an industry partnership with AIRT, the official home of DroneResponders, the world’s fastest growing non-profit program supporting public safety UAS.

Through the new partnership, AIRT will produce the DroneResponders Emergency Management and Disaster Forum to be held at EDRC’s Energy Drone & Robotics Summit (EDRS) from June 10-11, 2020 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. EDRS is the only event exclusively focused on the business and technology of unmanned systems (aerial, ground/surface & subsea) in energy operations.

“We are thrilled to welcome AIRT and the DroneResponders Emergency Management and Disaster Forum to the 2020 Energy Drone & Robotics Summit,” said Sean Guerre, Executive Director of EDRC. “This initiative will serve the greater public interest by uniting first responders and energy professionals to further explore the use of UAS for disaster response and recovery operations.”

The DroneResponders Emergency Management and Disaster Forum will continue the legacy established by AIRT’s UAS DRONES Disaster Conferences previously held in Miami and Los Angeles. The new disaster forum concept will build off of AIRT’s DroneResponders Public Safety UAS summit series held at Commercial UAV Expo Americas, Las Vegas in October 2019, and scheduled for AUVSI’s XPONENTIAL in May 2020.

“The Energy Drone and Robotics Summit will serve as the official launch for our new DroneResponders Disaster Forum series of events,” said Christopher Todd, Executive Director of AIRT. “We are excited to arrive in Texas to help serve public safety and energy sector professionals using Drones For Good.”

The DroneResponders Emergency Management and Disaster Forum will be a one-day event held on June 10, 2020 at the Energy Drone & Robotics Summit. Special pricing will be available soon for public safety and emergency management professionals to attend the event.
