Say Hello To Chris Esposito And Annette Kurman!
With the final days before the official start to EAA AirVenture
2007 counting down all too rapidly... and, not quickly enough...
ANN's senior staff is all-too-aware of the Herculean task ahead of
us in reporting EVERYTHING that's news at The World's Greatest
Aviation Celebration.
Fortunately, this year we'll have some help... and some really
GREAT help at that. As we've already told you, Aero-News is
bringing its largest staff EVER to AirVenture this year, to not
only increase our print and audio coverage of the greatest (air)
show on Earth, but also to help us kick off Aero-TV. (Come to
think of it... "Herculean" doesn't begin to cover it...)
Over the next several days, we thought we'd take the time to
introduce you to the print stringers, video crews, and senior
staffers who will be bringing our readers and listeners all the
news that's fit to pixilate, modulate and videotape from Oshkosh
this year.
And now, without further adieu...
Chris Esposito
Chris Esposito may have been bitten by the aviation bug at
birth. He started building and flying radio control aircraft at 14,
and his obsession with aviation only intensified after his first
ride in a helicopter at the age of 15. That fateful five minute
airshow ride sparked a love for fling-wing flight that never left
him the same. Chris soloed one week after his 16th birthday, in a
Bell 47, and later went on to complete his instrument and
commercial ratings.
A native of Pennsylvania, Chris moved to Central Florida for
college, and graduated from the University of Central Florida in
2006 with a "somewhat useless" Political Science degree. Intent on
being involved in some aspect of the aviation community, Chris
found work in the aviation insurance industry, where he helped
insure everything from Cessnas to King Airs. Flying the insurance
company's Cessna 182, Chris traveled throughout Florida learning
the ropes of the industry. Chris Esposito has written articles on
aviation insurance for several publications.
Annette Kurman
Recognized by the New Hampshire Press Association for excellence
in journalism, this will be the second year Annette plans to spend
her "summer break" from her full-time job as Public Relations
Director for Daniel Webster College to work for Aero-News in
Oshkosh.
Annette is a graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor's
degree in journalism, as well as the winner of the William Randolph
Hearst "Spot News" contest. She has worked in the aviation industry
for four years, most recently as Weekend Editor for ANN.
