Young British 'Terrorist' Gets 30 Days in Aussie Prison

22 Years Old, With Eight Pints In Him...

Thomas James Lilico, 22, will be spending a month in an Australian prison, for threatening to hijack a Qantas jet, that was about to leave Cairns, on a New Year's flight to Darwin.

What came out in court was that the man was overheard by a flight attendant, threatening to take over the Qantas 'liner, with a knife. He was pulled off the plane, with five of his best buddies ("What? I've never seen him before in my life!"), and, in custody, was found to have had... no weapons. He was seen by witnesses, to have imbibed "eight pints" immediately prior to his boarding.

The judge sentenced Lilico to three months in prison, with two months' suspended; he also had to post a $50 'good-behavior bond.'
