Duncan Aviation Transforms Gulfstream G550

New Paint And Interior Design Touches Showcase New Owner’s Taste

Duncan Aviation’s full-service MRO facility in Battle Creek, Michigan, has apparently outdone itself with the refurbishment of a Gulfstream G550. Although the interior was in great condition, the new owner wanted to make it to their own taste. A Starlink satellite connectivity installation and a sleek new exterior paint job completed the renovation.

The aircraft was recently purchased and had reflected the previous owner’s branding and interior styling, featuring lots of blue tones with navy seats and blue carpet. The new owner wanted emerald green or burgundy red seats, and the design team used that guidance to develop color palettes for the materials used in the refurbishment.

The design team says the highlight of the interior is the emerald green seats that were hand-stitched by Duncan’s Upholstery Shop in Battle Creek.

Mary Lee, Senior Lead Designer noted, “The owner’s love for jewel tones inspired the use of a deep, rich modern green for the seats. We paired them with a warm beige palette to enhance the comfortable, elegant feel of the new interior.”

The new exterior paint features a Matterhorn white base with light gold pearl over the cockpit and a stripe running along the fuselage with emerald green and gold accents.
