Aero-News: Quote of the Day

ANN's Quote of the Day usually derives from current news, though we reserve the right to pick quotes out of history that have a bearing on the day's events and issues.

Reader suggestions and comments are welcome... and if particularly thought provoking or poignant, may themselves become future Quotes of the Day. Let us hear from you, folks!

Aero-News Quote of the Day

"I suggest that the process be reasonable for the pilot to get the permission to carry a firearm.  Remember the pilot, not the air marshal (If there even is one on board), is the only person in command. There is always a pilot on every flight, there may or may not be an air marshal. The TSA process sound ridiculous and a waste of time. What we need is proper firearm training for pilots interested in protecting his aircraft, not a bunch of useless hoops to jump through. I for one, hope every pilot has a means to defend the cockpit and the aircraft. I have tons more faith in the pilot in command than the air marshal, any day of the week."
